Appearance & finish
Vinyl flakes are broadcast into a base coat, from a light scatter to full coverage, then sealed with a clear topcoat. Blend, flake size, and broadcast density change the look and texture. We'll help you choose a blend that fits the space.
Substrate & project considerations
Flake floors still depend on proper preparation. Cracks, moisture, and old sealers or paints are evaluated first and addressed before installation. Garage slabs often need crack repair and mechanical grinding to give the coating a sound surface.
How we approach it
- 01
Evaluate and repair
We check the slab and repair cracks and damaged areas.
- 02
Grind and base coat
The surface is mechanically prepared and a pigmented base coat is applied.
- 03
Broadcast and topcoat
Flakes are broadcast, scraped, and sealed with a clear topcoat.
